Our Vision · Heritage UMC

WELCOME TO HERITAGE, OR AS WE LIKE TO SAY, welcome home.

Heritage is a church focused on helping to build a community by Loving, Learning, and Leading. Not only do we feel strongly about helping to lead those who attend Heritage to a relationship with Jesus, but we also actively engage with the community so that they can receive the same gift. We value this connection to the community so that all can experience the love and joy of God and the gracious gift of His son.

VISION

Our vision for Heritage is to invite -everyone- into a life-changing relationship with Jesus by providing a place to below, grow and make a difference. Jesus isn’t stressing over the road you took to get to where you are, only where you are now, and that you’re interested in a relationship with Him and His Father. So are we. We all have baggage, we’ve all made mistakes, and we welcome you wherever you are in your life, or your journey to know Christ, no matter where that may be.

Our three foundational pillars are Evangelism, Discipleship, and Stewardship.

EVANGELISM / LOVING: A PLACE TO BELONG

A lot of people grew up with Faith, with a knowledge and a relationship with Jesus, but not everyone has. For those who do not know Jesus, it can be a difficult thing to walk through the doors of a brand new place that you’re unfamiliar with – this is why our first pillar is Evangelism. Often times the tipping point someone needs… is an invitation. To know an option is there is great, but to truly have someone extend their hand and ask you to join them creates a bond that demonstrates understanding and trust. We thrive on creatively inviting others into a relationship with Jesus, and providing them with a place where they can be themselves.

How we encourage others to act on this: Invite people you know to churchinvite people you don’t know to churchinvite everyone you know to church.

DISCIPLESHIP / LEARNING: A PLACE TO GROW

Like other relationships in our life, after an invite has been sent out and accepted, there is much left to cultivate. A relationship with Jesus is no different. We believe that having an active relationship with Jesus is the difference between knowing of His existence and -knowing Him-. We feel that our relationship with Him is lifelong and in order to cultivate that relationship we need to take intentional and active steps to do so.

How we encourage others to act on this: Join a small groupjoin a serve teamvolunteer locallygo on a mission trip.

STEWARDSHIP / LEADING: A PLACE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
