“A Disciples Path” – September 8th to October 13th
Fall 2019 will be a season of innovation and new beginnings at Heritage United Methodist. One of those new beginnings will be “The Disciple’s Path” –a new church-wide system for measuring our Discipleship and plotting out the next steps in our growth. From September 8th to October 13th our whole church family will explore how disciples of Jesus can deepen their relationship with Christ and the church. Our worship services and small group studies will link up to see how Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, and Witness make us better disciples so that we can transform our community.

“Follow Me!” is the invitation with which Jesus called his first disciples. It appears twenty-one times in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. And now the invitation comes to you!

Wherever you are in your faith journey, this is your invitation to follow Jesus, and take the next step along the path of discipleship.

This study will answer:

  • What does it mean to follow Jesus? And what does it mean to be a follower of Jesus in the Methodist tradition?
  • What are the specific practices that will help you grow into the likeness of Christ and become part of God’s transformation of the world?
  • How can you discover your unique gifts and become engaged in transforming ministry in the world, and what role does the church play in this process?

Whether you are just starting out, or are farther along the path of discipleship, this will be an excellent resource and study to help you take the next step.

Sign-ups and resources will be available in August! Contact Dir of Adult Discipleship – Eric Johnson for additional information.
