This past Friday, Children’s Ministry kicked off the first Skate Night of the new school year. As Pastor Matt has been casting the vision of Heritage being a church for our neighborhood, I believe that is exactly what took place at Skate Night this week. With over 76 children in attendance, our parking lot was full of music, fun and smiling faces as children, parents, and grandparents who took advantage of this family-friendly event.
We here at Heritage have a lot to be proud of, especially when it comes to the way we love the children and their families in our community. It’s truly was a beautiful thing to watch families gather in our parking lot to enjoy one another’s company while their children skated, scootered and rode bikes around our lot. Although the weather was a little steamy, everyone had a great time and I have no doubt that when the children went to bed that night they slept really well.
Our next Skate Night is scheduled for Friday, October the 4th at 6:30 p.m., so if you know a family in your neighborhood who might enjoy this fantastic family event please feel free to invite them to join us or better yet offer to drive them here yourself!Print This Post
