Today Cristy Rittenhouse, Margot and I packed Cristy’s SUV to the brim with school supplies that were collected during Summer JAM 2019 (VBS) and throughout the last 2 weeks from within our congregation. Cristy took the school supplies to be given out to foster care families who are associated with the Pinellas County Foster and Adoptive Parents Association in hopes of impacting 150 foster/adoptive families.
As we were loading up Cristy’s vehicle I couldn’t help but say, “Wow, this is incredible.” Heritage, you are an amazing group of people with the most generous hearts that when tasked with a need you show up in a BIG way. During Summer JAM we had a competition between boys versus girls throughout the week to see who could bring in the most school supplies and collectively the children brought in almost 1000 school supply items! Our generous church family doubled that and brought in almost 2000 school supply items plus many monetary gifts as well. Through our efforts, The Pinellas County Foster and Adoptive Parents Association will be blessed with quite an abundance to help the foster care/adoptive families that they serve.
Thank you, Heritage for making a difference in the lives of those in need. Thank you for being the tangible hands and feet of Jesus to the Pinellas County area and beyond!Print This Post
