JANUARY STUDENT MINISTRY

Newsletter 2025

Hello Heritage Students and Families!

Happy New Year Lighthouse Families! My hopes are that everyone had a blessed holiday. I also hope that you are taking the time to just sit and be quiet after all the celebrations and the hustle and bustle. That is one of my intentions for the new year…taking the time to just be quiet.

Something that made me chuckle is that I want to start the new year sharing the words of the Old Testament. In this passage, the Prophet Isaiah was speaking to the Israelites the message God told him to deliver. God wanted them to know that it was time to move on, find hope in the future, and not dwell on the past. It’s time to look forward to something new!

18 Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Isaiah 43:18-19 NIV

It is time, my friends, to stop the mourning of the past and embrace the new. Stop looking back at what was. Don’t get me wrong, enjoy the memories, but now is the time to turn our attention to what the new has to bring. And it’s exciting! Now is the time to open our hearts to the opportunity to learn and grow…in our faith, in our mindset, and in our relationships with one another and with God.

Peace & Joy!

Ms. Stephanie
